CHAMONIX:
Chamonix sits at the foot of Mont Blanc which is Europe's highest mountain. Good skiing and boarding is guaranteed here - as the slopes rise to a staggering 3800 metres! The alpine town of Chamonix and its terrain are world renowned, and is possibly the most highly acclaimed ski resort in the world. Chamonix has some of the most incredible off-piste and is suited to beginners and intermediate snowboarders.

Chamonix is legendary for Snowboarding! With roots that stem deeper into Snowboard history than almost any other resort in France, if you are a boarder then Chamonix is the place to ride and be seen in! The nightlife is very snowboard-orientated in many bars and the resort buzzes with life.

Beginner snowboarders have some excellent opportunities to learn to ride up at Le Tour and Brevant and will find a whole network of progressive slopes that will allow them to improve without being restricted to the nurseries.

RESORT INFO:
On Piste:
To spend a week boarding in Chamonix will do wonders for your technique and progression, and give you an insight into what it is like to snowboard in some awesome but friendly "big mountain" terrain, which is perfectly accessible for the beginners and intermediates.

Off Piste:
However Chamonix is famous for its off piste potential too, and intermediate riders will enjoy un-rivalled variety on offer with natural half pipes, couloirs and powder fields to suit novice powder seekers through to expert back country snowboarders. The Snow Parks of Chamonix and the unintimidating Boarder Cross tracks allow novices to taste the thrills of Freestyle and expert riders to hone their skills!

Beginners at Snowboarding:-
Chamonix is often seen by people as an "extreme" resort for expert riders only. However this could not be further from the truth! The resort is indeed famous for its mountaineering history, however it is one of the most acclaimed resorts in Europe and without a good beginner facilities it would not hold such a title. Chamonix actually has some excellent beginner trails and one of the best Snowboard Schools in France. The resort is ideal for all ages and beginners will find an extensive network of blue and green trails to learn and progress on. The nursey slopes at Le Tour are also some of the best that we have seen in France.

The Resort:
Chamonix is a very large and interesting mountain resort, with hundreds of bars, shops and cafes. There is as much to do off the mountain as there is for the skiers on the mountain! The nightlife is excellent and the whole Chamonix experience is one not to be missed!

Chalet Hotel Bdn:
A newly renovated, charming and characterful chalet-hotel in the centre of Chamonix and just 2 minutes from the nursery slopes. The hotel offers excellent value accommodation in the centre of one of France's most vibrant mountain towns. The Boule de Neiges was completely renovated over summer 2006 to offer a very comfortable chalet-hotel in Chamonix. Guests have a wonderful sun terrace that looks out over Mont Blanc and affords spectacular views of the mountains and Aguille Midi. Downstairs has a very atmospheric boutique-bar and brasserie which is open to the public for food, drink and happy hour!

The Bdn is a very central hotel, located just a stone's throw from the slopes & lifts which access the Brevant-Flegere ski area.

Ski Chalet Bdn:
A newly refurbished ski chalet in Chamonix just 2 mins from the ski slopes!
We have an 8 to 10 bed individual ski chalet set over two floors, which is located right next door to the Hotel Boule de Neiges in Chamonix.

The Chalet is in a quiet but very central area of Chamonix, very close to bars, retaurants and amenities. The ski slopes are just 2 minutes away. The Chalet was refurbished over summer 2008 and offers very comfortable ski accommodation with modern conveniences.
The chalet has sunny aspect balconies with wonderful views of the ski slopes which are less than 200 metres away.
