The vast Milky Wayski area offers mile after mile of ideal boarding terrain. There is a snow board park in Sauze as well, conditions permitting. Sauze has a very good snowboarding school.

Sauze d’Oulx is perched on a sunny plateau above the pretty town of Oulx. Placed at the north end of the huge Vialattea ski area, some 400km of excellently groomed pistes await.

Long reputed as a Mecca for party mad snowboarders during the 80’s and 90’s, Sauze has found itself a place in the hearts of thousands of mountain fans, and over the years has grown up with its original patrons, allowing both young revellers and old friends to enjoy it’s fantastic atmosphere for board holidays.

The skiing on offer here is excellent, with a huge investment made for the Olympics all of two seasons ago, the snowmaking ensures that you can enjoy great conditions right the way through the season, and the much improved lift systems allow you to explore the neighbouring resorts of Sestriere, Clavière and Sansicario with ease during your ski holiday. A Neilson favourite for now, and we hope many seasons to come.

Beginners
Sauze d’Oulx is a sunny resort with good opportunities for the beginnerskier. The nursery slopes are situated up at Sportinia where the wide open basin provides suitable terrain for beginners. The excellent ski school is a big attraction for anyone who’s taking up skiing for the first time.

Intermediates
Sauze d’Oulx is a paradise for intermediates with miles of prepared runs both in and out of the trees, the most popular being those around the Triplex Sportinia area. The lift pass also covers the skiing in Sestriere, Clavière, and Sansicario, a total of over 69 lifts and nearly 400km of pistes that make up the vast Milky Way ski area.

Advanced
Sauze d'Oulx is considered to be the gateway of the Milky Way, opening up vast ski areas and the opportunity to ski Sestriere, home to last year's Olympic alpine skiing disciplines. The town itself is now immersed in high level skiing, being host to the aerial, mogul and freestyle skiing disciplines in last seasons Olympic games
