Snowboard in Tignes for a Week

Tignes is famous for its excellent high altitude snow, largely due to the Grand Motte which plays host to the highest snowboarding Glacier in France. However the unfortunate fact about Tignes is that it is rather an ugly resort that has fallen foul of the high-rise concrete revolution of the 1960s! The solution very much lies in Tignes Les Brevieres.

We have one chalet in Tignes Le Lac but most of our chalets are part of an exclusive new development in Tignes Les Brevieres. Tignes Les Breveieres is the original old town of Tignes and so it has the benefit of the high altitude slopes of Tignes right on it's doorstep, but not the ugliness of Tignes Le Lac.

Brevieres village is a very charming and pretty place with very snow sure slopes that lead into the village. Guests can still enjoy the premium skiing of a Glacial super resort without the ugliness that goes with it.

Snowboarding in Tignes:

Tignes is also famous for its Snowboarding and the Pipe and Park in Tignes is legendary. It usually has permanent shapers and is cut and groomed by people who really know how to use Pipe Dragons! The park is maintained daily and so it is usually in very good condition, with a range of jumps for all abilities.

The Freeriding in Tignes is suited to all levels of rider and some really interesting features and terrain, combined with high altitude snow, make for some great riding. The powder opportunities in Tignes are unbeatable and this is where the fun really starts!

Chalet Martinique:
This is an individual and private chalet for 6-8 people that can also be opened up into a larger 12-16 bed chalet with its twin sister-chalet next door. The chalet is located luxury chalet tignesapprox 450 metres, or a 6 ½ minute walk from the shops, bars, ski slopes and lifts of the pretty Tignes Les Brevieres. Les Brévières is the original “old town” of Tignes, and its benefit is that it has the best glacier skiing in the alps, but without the ugliness of a high altitude ski resort.

Chalet Triolet:
We have three 4-6 bed chalet-apartments located next door to each other in central Tignes le lac (virtual ski-to-door). The chalet enjoys a virtal ski to door location. The slopes are only 100 metres away from the chalet which can be used by those with a weeks ski experience. Absolute beginners (less than 1 week ski experience) may not be able to ski back to the chalet but will have to walk to the main Pallafour area by the Tourist Office in the resort centre - which is only about 200 metres away. Bars, restaurants and shops are just 150m to 200m away.

Chalet Waterloo:
The chalet enjoys the benefit of a health club with pool, sauna and hot tub. There are also a few exercise bikes in a mini-gym.
The chalet is located approx 250 metres, or a 3 ½ minute walk from where the shops and bars, start in Tignes Les Brévières.

Chalet Napoleon:
Guests can use a private health club which is shared with the surrounding enclave of chalets, which includes a small indoor pool and sauna. Each chalet takes 10 people, or 12 at a push! They are run as two completely separate chalets but can be opened up via an internal door to make one larger chalet for up to 24 people. Couples and small groups can join these chalets on a shared basis, or large groups can take one or both chalets for sole occupancy.

The chalet is located 450 metres, or a 6 ½ minute walk from the shops & bars. Ski slopes and lifts of Tignes Les Brevieres are about 100m further on.

Chalet Caroline:
The chalet features an open plan dining and living area with an almost vaulted ceiling and large windows that look out over the mountains. There is also a sun terrace with hot tub, and the views are simply stunning as they extend over the lake towards the ski slopes of Les Brevieres. The bedrooms are all ensuite and the chalet further benefits from a sauna, a heated boot rack and ski store. There is also a pool table, TV, DVD and WiFi.

The chalet is located 450 metres, or a 6 ½ minute walk from the central areas of Tignes Les Brevieres, however we do operate a slope-shuttle (landrover or minibus) each morning and evening.

Chalet Neve:
This Chalet has an enviable location in Tignes Le Lac, just 100 metres from the chair lifts and ski slopes! Chalet Neve is a traditional ski chalet with a lovely warm and wooden Savoyard interior. Beamed ceilings and local stonework give Le Névé a cosy atmosphere, offering a very good level of accommodation and virtual ski to door access in this high altitude ski resort.

Chalet Josephine:
This Chalet takes 10 people, or 12 at a push! They are run as two completely separate chalets but can be opened up via a normally locked internal door to make one larger chalet for up to 24 people. Couples and small groups can join these chalets on a shared basis, or large groups can take one or both chalets for sole occupancy.

The chalet is located 450 metres, or a 6 ½ minute walk from the shops, bars. The ski slopes and lifts of Tignes Les Brévières are 100m or so further, however we do operate a private slope-shuttle (landrover or minibus) each morning and evening.
