This week is for powder hounds and experienced boarders who want to push their snowboarding to a new level.
Spend 4 guided days exploring some world-famous Alpine back country adventures.
You’ll also learn about avalanche safety and back country terrain. You need to be a strong boarder with off-piste experience.

So what does this week involve?
The first day is an unguided resort day to get organised and get back in touch with the rhythm of snowboarding. The next day you’ll meet Didier, our guide. He is passionate about the mountains, skiing and people and will assess the weather and conditions daily to make sure your have the best possible week.
We generally start off in Sixt, a secluded lift accessed back country playground where Didier can assess everyone’s level. From there, we may move to the Grand Platieres or Vallon du Sales with it’s exciting 65m rappel down an ice fall.
On our door step, the Gers Bowl is a powder paradise when the conditions are right. We can drop down towards the Lac and refuge for lunch and be towed out of the valley behind a skidoo! One day we will head over to Chamonix to sample the world famous Grand Montet or Les Aiguilles Rouges. The last day, will be spent in the Grand Massif self-guided.
When you do a La Source course you are fairly sure to meet like minded people and make some good friends. You will eat delicious and healthy food, have wood fired hot tubs under the stars, do yoga stretch sessions in the morning, have home-made brownies or cakes when you get back from your adventures. But.. the most important thing is that this week becomes a launching pad for your dreams! As a wise Sufi said in 1200 B.C.;

La Source is a very funky 5* eco-chalet.

It is 5 minutes above Samoens village 1 hour from Geneva airport on the Edge of one of France's most spectacular Nature Reserve's.
La Source has 7 bedrooms, a wood fired hot tub and massive communal living area, library, TV/music den, sports room, bike washing facility, etc.
There is a big garden with a big chill out BBQ deck and wood fired hot tub. The neighbours cows come through the garden!
Food is sourced from local organic farms.
We have 12 beds in 5 bedrooms and a mezzanine. There is 1 single room, 3 doubles (or twins), 1 triple and a twin mezzanine. The rooms are all very different. Some are en suite and some share a bathroom. The beds are selected on a first come, first serve basis sort of like Easyjet. If you book early, you can get the single room at no extra cost. If you book late, the Mezzanine may be the only room available.
We encourage our single guests to share as it all adds to the sense of community and often good friends are made. You will only share with someone of the same gender. If you would rather not share, there is a charge of E350 per empty bed. |
